Swimming & Bowling

Since we can't play soccer or T-ball with all of this snow we have, we signed up for swim lessons! Chase still has to swim with mommy or daddy, but he is ready to move up to my class. Once he turns 3 he'll be able to swim with me! He is doing great kicking, floating and jumping.

I'm in the big boy class and mommy and daddy don't have to get in the water with me. I was a little shy the first class, but the last two weeks I have been doing great! My favorite part is jumping, but I've been doing good floating on my back and have been swimming well with my big scoops!

Mommy and Daddy were off on Monday and they had a surprise for us- bowling!!!! It was the first time Chase and I had bowled (outside of Wii bowling) and we had lots of fun! Thankfully the bumpers were out and we had a kid's ball. They didn't have shoes small enough for us, so we just got to wear our tennis shoes- no silly shoes for us.

We almost beat mommy, but she came back in the end. Daddy was the overall winner, but we all had fun!

Grandma and Papa came down this weekend. They brought us some Christmas presents from Aunt Dar since we didn't see her due to everyone having the flu over Christmas. I got a super cool space shuttle! Chase got a big dump truck and a new game. We had fun playing with our new toys with Grandma & Papa.

We took Grandma & Papa to our favorite restaurant Saturday night. We each had $.50 and we really wanted to play one of the games. Can you believe we both won a giant gobstopper?!

On Saturday we finally made our gingerbread train. We didn't get to make it over Christmas because we were sick and Papa didn't get to make the gingerbread houses over New Year's so we decided to make the train with Papa. It wasn't as hard as making a gingerbread house and we even snuck a gumball in past mommy.

Have a great week and enjoy the videos!

Happy New Year!

Well, it's official- we've all had the flu now. We thought mommy was going to make it, but she got sick this week and was so sick we had to take her to the hospital. Because mommy was still sick we couldn't go to Cleveland for New Year's Eve. Instead we watched the Buckeyes play basketball and Chase and I had our own little celebration.

Mommy was feeling better on New Year's Day, so we decided to drive up to Cleveland as we hadn't seen any of daddy's family for Christmas.

Papa had to work, so we opened presents with Grandma. Chase got his own computer and I got my Ohio State basketball jersey!

Once we were done Uncle Ryan, Aunt Liza, Austin and Paige came to visit too. After dinner we opened presents with them. Chase got a really cool Handy Manny play set and I got a talking View Master.

Grandma and Papa bought us all OSU shirts for Christmas- aren't we just too cute??!!

After we were all done with presents, Grandma had a surprise for us- gingerbread houses! It was a little tough to get them together and very messy, but in the end we had four standing decorated houses!

Once I was done with my house I got to play Mario Kart! I had been waiting all week to play with Austin. I also raced Papa and Uncle Ryan.

Chase had a blast playing with Paige as usual. He got to do all his favorite things- vacuum, dress up and just play.

At the end of the night we were all tired. Chase and I slept all of the way home and I think mommy took a nap too.

Back to school and work tomorrow. Happy New Year!

Playground Fun

Mommy and daddy took us to this super cool play place today! They had basketball hoops there, all kinds of slides and playgrounds, trampolines and ping pong.

We had so much fun playing on everything, we didn't want to leave.

After we went to the play place mommy and daddy took us to Best Buy to spend their Christmas money from Uncle Jack and Uncle Seth. They bought a few things they needed and they also bought Mario Kart! This game is so fun, I played forever. Daddy had to eventually tell me no more video games for the day. I can't wait until tomorrow so I can play again!

Merry Christmas!

We never did hear the reindeer on the roof, but Santa did come! He left us lots of cool presents! He drank all of his milk and ate most of the cookies.

Chase still wasn't feeling well, but he felt ok to see what Santa left and open presents. I got a train set, Star Wars toys, a dinosaur and a little Buckeye football player. Mommy and daddy also got me this really cool submarine. Chase got a train too, Rudolph books, Mickey Mouse and friends figurines and racing cars. Mommy and daddy got him a really cool dump truck.
After playing with our toys for a while, mommy and I had to get ready to go to Grandma and Grandpa's. Daddy stayed home with Chase since he still had a fever. At Grandma and Grandpa's house I got a really cool race track from Aunt Bessie- I could play with it for hours.

We then went to Aunt Annie's house and I got a lot of hamster toys which is great since Mackenzie got me a new hamster!

When mommy and I got back home daddy was sick. A little later Grandma and Grandpa with Uncle Seth and Uncle Jack came up to celebrate and open presents so Chase wouldn't miss out.

Can you believe I got this super awesome loop track?! Chase got a cool rocket ship tent from Uncle Jack and he also got this tool belt set.

That night I decided to join in on the fun of having the flu. It's a good thing mommy and daddy are off this week so we can recover. We've been having a lot of fun playing with our toys. Thanks everyone for all of the presents! We hope you had a Very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Daddy was off on Thursday and we got to stay home form school. Mommy was home in the morning but had to go to work in the afternoon. Chase made a last ditch effort with Santa by wearing this new shirt. I also got this new cool OSU shirt for Christmas from Aunt Sarah!

After dinner Daddy took us to mommy's work to watch the Buckeyes play basketball and guess who was there... ... Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jack, Uncle Seth and Cousin Jake! Mommy even ordered popcorn for us! We had fun cheering the Buckeyes on to victory.

That night Chase woke up with the flu. We helped mommy make cookies in the morning and had fun icing them later.
Daddy and I went to church for Christmas Eve. I knew and sang most of the songs. Chase stayed home with mommy because he was really sick. That night we put our Santa PJs on and left some cookies and milk for Santa and some carrots for Rudolph. We were listening really hard for the reindeer on the roof...
