Snip, Snip

Chase got his first 'real' haircut last night. Mommy and daddy took us to the fun place with movies, a slide, suckers and balloons! Chase sat pretty still and enjoyed sitting in the car chair.
I stood right beside him the whole time.

After Chase was done, it was my turn. I love getting my haircut, especially the sucker and balloon I get afterwards. We both got yellow balloons to take home, but unfortunately our prickly ceiling popped them both. To help lift out spirits, we got to watch Dora while daddy was making spaghetti.

Daddy taught me how to twirl spaghetti on my fork. I had fun turning and turning, but ended up using mostly my hands to eat the slippery noodles. As I told daddy, I don't like the white ones- more sauce please!

We're supposed to get some snow over the next day or two. While I love the snow, I due miss the SC weather where I didn't have to bundle up in my winter gear!

Have a good weekend.

Road Trip

We just got back from a road trip to South Carolina! It was so much fun! We have lots of pictures and videos to share!

On Thursday night we packed up the car after dinner and were on our way. I got to watch a movie, but then mommy said it was time to close my eyes. When I woke up, we were at a hotel in West Virginia. I thought it was really cool and even though it was close to midnight, I was wide awake and ready for some fun. Chase and I finally settled down and we all went to sleep. The next morning we got ready and started on our way to Mackenzie's house. On our way I saw lots of mountains and even went through some tunnels. We got to stop for lunch at McDonald's and I even got a milkshake! After lunch mommy and daddy let us play on the playground for a few minutes. Once we were back in the car we had to take naps and when we woke up, we were there. Mackenzie, Aunt Chery and Uncle Brian (aka Uncle Liken) were all there waiting for us.

After we unloaded they took us to the neat place called The Greenway. Mackenzie and I had fun feeding the animals and playing tag. Uncle Brian took us over a neat bridge and taught me how to throw rocks in the water. I even saw some horses go through the water.

After dinner that night we had ice cream cake in honor of daddy's and Uncle 'Liken's' birthdays. Mackenzie and I had fun singing Happy Birthday.

The next morning we woke up and we were still at Mackie's house. I was very excited when I remembered where I was. Her new house is really big and she has lots of fun toys that Chase and I liked playing with and she likes Dora and Diego! They even have two doggies just our size- Mr. Pickles (aka Pringles) and Gus. Saturday was Valentine's day and Chase and I got really cool presents. Aunt Cheryl bought us all something with our name on it. Mackenzie got a treasure chest, Chase got a storage box and I got a box for all my cars. When I got home last night I put all my cars in it for safe keeping. Mackenzie also got some new bracelets, which I happened to really like. She was very nice to share them with me. I was willing to trade all my toys and even eat green beans to play with them.

After Chase's morning nap we went to Plaza Fiesta. They had a really big playground there where we got to run around and play. I liked climbing and Chase liked the slides. After we were done playing we had pizza for lunch and Mackenzie and I rode a little merry go round. I was really worn out and took a three hour nap after we got back. For dinner that night we went out to eat and since there wasn't enough room for three highchairs, Mackie and I got to sit on booster seats. I think it was a little stressful for mommy and Aunt Cheryl, but we all had fun, even if we were getting a little antsy in the end. Before bed we played in Mackenzie's toy room. It was one of the biggest toy rooms I have ever seen. I had fun playing with Uncle 'Liken' and the big ball.

After we all got ready on Sunday, they took us to Monkey Joe's. It was full of inflatables where we could climb, slide and jump. I had so much fun I didn't want to leave! Mommy, daddy, Chase and Uncle Brian even had fun climbing and sliding. I was all sweaty when it was time to go, so daddy bought me an icee on our way out. It was good!

After our naps we went outside to play. I had fun playing bouncy ball with Aunt Cheryl and Chase loved the little rider car. Uncle 'Liken' even drew Swiper and Boots for us on the driveway.

Sunday night Mackenzie and I played and played. We had fun playing tag and bouncy ball. We topped off the night with a little more ice cream cake.

Monday morning was Daddy's birthday. Chase and I both said 'Happy Birthday' and gave him the present we brought along with us. While we were eating breakfast, daddy loaded up the car b/c we had to go home. We were all sad to leave.

I watched a few movies, read books and sang silly songs on the way home. We stopped at McDonald's again and we got to go over a really big bridge. I had fun again in the tunnels, but I slept most of the afternoon.

Thanks again to Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Brian for hosting us and to Mackenzie for sharing all her toys and playing with us. We had a lot of fun and hope to see you again soon. You'll like being a big sister, Mackenzie- it's lots of fun.

When we got home, daddy had to go to a meeting, but not before we sang happy birthday and blew out the candles. He also had a few more presents to open. While he was gone I recorded a special message for him. Happy Birthday Daddy!

(Don't forget to play all of the videos.)

Here He Comes....

Chase started walking yesterday! He had been trying to take one or two steps, but when mommy and daddy came to pick us up from school yesterday Ms. Tiffany told us he had been walking everywhere. When we got home, we put him to the test. You can see him walking in the video below.

Over the past two weekends, we have been working on putting new floors in our living room. It must have been a big occasion because grandma, grandpa, grandma and papa all came over to help. I love to slide around and race my cars on the new floor. After the floor was done, there were a few finishing touches left to do. Mommy even let me help by painting last weekend.

The week before the floor project started we had a snow day! There was so much snow and ice that Chase and I didn't have to go to school and mommy and daddy didn't have to go to work. Chase and I had fun being silly and playing all day. I got to go out in the snow with daddy and Chase came out for a quick picture. Later in the afternoon, daddy and I made the critter cage I got for Christmas. Mommy said she was glad it didn't come with live critters.

Daddy made me some special pancakes this weekend- Dora and Boots. He also taught me a neat trick with whipped cream.

We have a big weekend coming up. We are leaving tomorrow to go see Mackenzie and her family! Aunt Cheryl has lots of fun stuff planned for us, so I can't wait to get there. Mommy said it's a long drive, so I hope they remember my movies.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Let it Snow!

I was finally able to play in the snow! We got 6 inches of snow last week and mommy let me go out and play while it was snowing. My new snow boots worked great and I loved just walking around in the snow! Mommy and I had a mini snowball fight. The snow was really fluffy so it wasn't good for making snowballs or snowmen- I had fun just the same. After we got all the snow it turned really cold! It was -10 one day on the way to school. Mommy and daddy said it was too cold to go out, so I haven't been back out yet. We got a little more snow over the weekend, but today it's finally sunny.

Next weekend daddy is putting new floors in the living room. I hope to be racing my cars in there soon!

Poor Chase has been really sick! The doctor gave him some medicine and he seems to be feeling better. I had to go to the doctor this week too. I went to the ear doctor and he took out one of my tubes. It was a little traumatic at first, but in the end I got a sucker and three stickers so it wasn't too bad.

I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Home Sweet Home

It was so nice to finally stay home this weekend! Other than going to church we stayed home all day Saturday and Sunday. Chase and I finally got to play with all of our toys we got for Christmas. Daddy started the weekend out with 'fun cakes.' Mommy said they were elevated a level to anima-cakes. I loved eating Elmo and Chase loved Cookie Monster. Chase liked it to so much he ate two!

After our fun cakes, daddy made us pizza for lunch. It was so good, I asked for it for dinner last night!

Mommy bought me some new snow boots, so I was hoping we would get some snow this weekend. In the end we got more freezing rain than anything and it washed away most of the little snow we had. Since we couldn't go outside, we watched from the window. We ended up getting some snow last night, but I had to go to school today, so I couldn't go out and play.

Chase is really cruising now and starting to take a few steps between objects. He also waves when you say bye-bye. Daddy took some video of him waving so check it out below. Chase's top two teeth came in over the holidays and now he has two more coming. I'm also working on 2 of my two year molars. Mommy said there are teeth sprouting every where.

Mommy and daddy shared some good news with me over the weekend- we're going to visit Mackenzie in February. I haven't seen her in a long time. I can't wait to see her new house. Aunt Cheryl has already planned a lot of fun stuff for us to do while we are there, so it should be a lot of fun. I heard it's a long drive, so I hope mommy and daddy remember the movies!

Have a good week- stay warm!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Happy New Year!

What a big party the last two weeks have been! Mommy and daddy surprised us and took the last few weeks off. Chase and I had a lot of fun having them home. Mommy had to go to work a few days, but that meant we got to watch the Buckeyes play basketball!

On Christmas Eve, I made cookies for Santa. After we got home from church, I left cookies and milk out for him, along with some carrots for Rudolph. Chase and I could hardly wait to open presents! On Christmas morning, I couldn't believe Santa brought us toys. I sure did get a lot of Thomas trains and cars. After we played with our toys and took naps, we went to Aunt Ann's house for Christmas with Grandma's family. I shared my trains with Mya and Uncle Jack helped me open presents. GG must have been really good, because she had the most presents!

After leaving Aunt Ann's house we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house where there were..........more presents! I had fun playing with Uncle Jack and Uncle Seth and we even got to watch my new doggies movie. Chase and I both slept in the next day. All of that celebrating is hard on little boys.

The next few days we got to play with all of our toys, then on Sunday we went to Aunt Bessie's house where we played with my cousin Anden and got........ more presents! I had no idea Christmas was this fun. Aunt Bessie got us rock guitars. Chase and I both love to play them and dance to the music- I even have some new dance moves. I had fun reading with Aunt Bessie and 'playing' with their dog Nettie! She didn't want to party too much. I don't know why- I kept trying to give her treats.

On New Year's Eve, mommy had to go to work, but daddy took us to mommy's office so we could watch the Buckeyes. Will even came to play with us. We saw Brutus and Scooby Doo! After mommy was done, we went out to eat and in honor of the holiday, I was allowed to get a chocolate milkshake! Boy was it good! On New Year's Day, Grandma and Grandpa came over to visit and see our Christmas Tree and what we got for Christmas. They even let me watch the movie Cars in the middle of football.

On Friday we got in the car again and drove to Cleveland. It's a good thing Aunt Sarah made me a new blanket, b/c I've done a lot of sleeping in the car over the past week. That night we had Christmas with Grandma and Papa. Chase and I got a big train and we each got a rocking horse! Chase really liked the Chicken Dance Elmo. The next day we had Christmas with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Liza, Austin & Paige and more of daddy'd family. Uncle Danny even brought presents over. I LOVE the basketball hoop he bought us. I take it with me everywhere. Daddy could hardly see out the window to drive us home, but we made it.

Thank you everyone for such a wonderful holiday! I sure did have fun! I was sad to see the Christmas tree come down, but I am glad to be able to stay home for awhile. Mommy and daddy put all of our toys away yesterday, so I guess our vacation is over............
