Catch Up

It's been a very busy month at the Olsavsky Household. I have a lot to report, so I hope you're ready!

A few weeks ago, mommy took me and Baby Chase, along with Aunt Cheryl and Mackenzie to a block party! It was so fun- we got to play with ducks, eat hot dogs & popsicles and play in big bouncy thing. The next day mommy and I went to the zoo and met up with Uncle Ryan, Aunt Liza, Austin and Paige. Cousin Austin got his face painted like a pirate. He looked really cool.

Over the last few weeks, mommy and daddy have turned our basement into a play room. It's lots of fun down there, I can play with my toys and read my books all in one spot. Chase even has some toys down there and likes to play on his play mat. Soon after the playroom was complete, we had some bad thunderstorms. One night daddy came up to get me from my room to go to the basement- there was a tornado warning. I don't really know what that is, but I got play with my toys at 1 am! We finally went back upstairs, but the thunder woke me up at 3 am and daddy came in to take me to his room. I had fun sleeping on mommy's pillow.

Chase is really starting to get big. He went to the doctor two weeks ago and here are his 4 month stats: 14lbs, 11oz and 25 1/2 inches. He can now sit in his chair and saucer, as well as lift his head and chest off the ground. Mommy said he'll be rolling over soon. He likes to smile and talk to me, and I like to talk back in his 'language.' Chase made the big step of moving into his own room. I think he really likes it- He is always smiling when we go in there in the morning.

On the 4th of July we went to a parade! It was a little wet, but I had lots of fun. I liked waving my flag and I really liked the old fashioned cars with the silly horns. Later that day we went to a cook out at our neighbors. They had all their toys outside and I played with some of my neighborhood friends. I really liked playing corn hole.

That Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa came up for Grandma's birthday. We went to the park, where I got to see a real train car and play on the playground. I even played with sand for the first time. Chase slept the whole time we were there, but I made the most of it and had a lot of fun!

On Sunday, we went to Cleveland for cousin Paige's birthday. It was an Elmo party- I love Elmo! She got a really cool bike, maybe I'll get a bike for my birthday. I love to ride them at school. I had fun playing on their swing set and climbing into the fort.

Grandma Bonk and Papa came down last week to go to the zoo and I got to ride on a boat for the first time. I had a lot of fun and didn't want to get off. Afterwards, they bought me a frog and a dolphin that light up and make noise. I liked them so much I went to sleep with them.

This past weekend Grandma came up just to play with me. Grandpa sent me a video about a boat and a football! I had fun playing with Grandma, while mommy and daddy did housework. After Grandma left, Grandma Bonk and Papa Chicken came over. They were coming for Chase's baptism. On Sunday we got to sit in the front row at church because Chase was getting baptized. All the grandparents, GG, Uncle Jack and Mackenzie and her parents came to church for the big event. I was a little noisy during the baptism and I didn't want to be held. Chase cried when they put the water on his head, but he was fine after that. After the actual baptism, I got to go back to the cry room with Mackenzie. Mommy and daddy said we were crazy- all I know is that we had fun!

After church everybody came back to our house for a party! Uncle Ryan's family, Grandpa O and Aunt Dar and Uncle Kyle, Aunt Sarah and Will also came over. We had fun playing outside and downstairs. We got to play Wii and I convinced GG to push me around in a box. As you can see, Chase and I were worn out afterwards. It sure was a fun day!

Monday night we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for GG's birthday. We also picked up Riley. She was staying with Grandma for a few days. I sure was glad to see her! My cousin Mya was there and we had fun playing with all of Grandma's toys.

I think that covers the last few weeks. I'll try to update more frequently.

Have a good week :)

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day everybody! We had lots of fun this Father's Day weekend. On Friday, mommy picked us up early from daycare and we got to go swimming with Mackenzie. I had fun until the storms came through. I found out this week that I don't like thunder and I'm not too fond of lightning either. After the storm passed, Uncle Brian and daddy came home from work and we went back to our house to eat and play. Aunt Cheryl brought over a fun tunnel and basketball hoop that I get to play with for a few weeks. I love it, but I think mommy and daddy are getting tired of chasing Riley- she likes the balls too! While the adults were playing Wii, Mac and I got to play with toys.

Saturday morning I got to go to swim lessons. I had fun being back in the water with daddy. One of my friends from down the street was in my class too. Mommy said next session her and baby Chase are going to join us. After swimming lessons, mommy and daddy took us to the Bunny Water park. I was a little afraid of the shooting water, but I sure did like the bunnies! Later that day Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Jack came to visit for Father's Day. It was fun- I love saying Jack's name! I said it over and over again ALL night. We had pizza for dinner and mommy and daddy even let me play video games. After dinner we gave Grandpa his Father's Day presents. Then, Uncle Jack, Grandpa, mommy and me all went to watch a football game. At the game, Uncle Jack came back from the concession stand with a whole tub of popcorn just for me. I shared a little, but keep a close tab on every kernel.

Sunday, we gave our gifts to daddy and then we packed up the car and headed to Cleveland to say Happy Father's Day to Papa- another one of my new favorite words- and the great- grandpas. Our cousins were there and Grandma Bonk had a pool and a bunch of toys set up in the back yard. It was a lot of fun.

Here are some more pictures from our weekend adventures. (Don't forget to play the 3 videos)

Enjoy & Have a good week!

Mommy and Me

I had a lot of fun last week. It was mommy's last week off and I got to spend all week with her!

Last Sunday Grandma Bonk, Papa Chicken and cousin Meg came to visit. Mommy got the pool out and Baby Chase and I went swimming. Chase didn't like the cold water too well, so I mostly swam by myself. I had fun playing with everybody and going for rides in my wagon.

On Monday mommy and I worked on my new fort. The fort has become Sir Fudge's new home. He likes it in there and Riley can't get him. Daddy got to leave work at lunch time, so we went to the mall. I went to the play area, but there were a lot of kids there and I was too shy to play.

I had a big day on Wednesday. First, mommy took me to get my haircut. They had a fun slide there and I got a balloon. Then, we got to go to McDonalds. I ate all my chicken nuggets and apples, washed down by some milk. I even got a car toy in my Happy Meal! On our way home we had to stop at the store and mommy bought me a new ball and a monkey cup. I went home to take a nap and when I woke up Grandma was there! The three of us headed off to the zoo. I had a blast at the zoo- all the animals were out and moving and I even got to ride the train! It was a long day and I went to bed shortly after dinner.

The next day I went to the park with mommy and we saw Aunt Cheryl and Baby Mac. After the mommies were done walking, we got to play in the water playground. I liked getting wet under the shower and was soaked- I had to ride home in just my diaper! After lunch and nap, mommy set up my Elmo sprinkler. I had fun running through the water- I even got mommy wet a little.

Daddy had to work again on Saturday, so mommy, baby Chase and I all hung out- we played inside for most of the day, mommy even let me watch Elmo on tv.

On Sunday, baby Chase had quite the adventure with daddy at the grocery store- he had a Major Blowout! Daddy said it was dripping on his shoes. While mommy and daddy were cleaning it up, I got to play in my water tub on the deck. After everything was clean, we went to the park for our church picnic. I saw ducks and fish in the water, ate hot dogs and played on the playground- it was fun!

Mommy had to go back to work yesterday, so we were all up early and off to school and work. I cried when they dropped me off, but I had fun playing with my friends and chasing birds outside for the rest of the day.

Have a good week.

Sick Day

I had a fever earlier this week, so I got to stay home from school with mommy. We had fun reading books and playing, but then she put me to work! I helped clean windows, rearrange toys, rake the mulch beds and mow the grass! All that work made me tired, but I still found some energy to color and play. I was still a little tired at school yesterday and fell asleep at the lunch table!

Baby Chase started daycare this week. He is in the Baby Bunnies classroom, right down the hall from me. I've been having a lot of fun at school, making art projects, which Mommy says are beautiful, playing outside and looking for birds out the window. In two weeks we get to have 'water days' at school. I can't wait to play in the water in my new Elmo swim trunks.

Mommy said it's supposed to be nice this weekend and I can go swimming! Have a good weekend!

Happy Mother's Day!

Baby Chase and I hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day! We spent a lot of the weekend in the car heading to Cleveland and Medway. It wasn't all bad- I got to watch movies, took a few naps and visited with a bunch of family.

On Saturday morning, we all got ready and then loaded in the car on our way to Cleveland. Mommy and daddy hooked up the dvd player, so I got to watch a movie. We stopped at McDonald's for lunch and I chomped down apples and chicken nuggets. Mommy even gave me a few fries. When we got to Cleveland we went to see my cousin Austin play soccer. His team was green, which just happens to be my favorite color. I had fun watching everyone play soccer and wanted to go get a few of the balls to play myself. The game was good and Austin even scored a goal. After the game we went to Grandma Bonk and Papa Chicken's. Uncle Ryan, Aunt Liza, Austin and Paige also came over, as well as a lot of other family members. A lot of them saw baby Chased for the first time. I had fun playing with my cousins, especially when Aunt Liza got out the markers! My other favorite part of the visit is when Grandma Bonk gave me my own ice cream cup! I put my pjs on before we left and Chase and I slept most of the way home. I think mommy even slept for a few minutes.

Sunday morning we wished mommy 'Happy Mother's Day' and made her french toast for breakfast. Baby Chase and I then gave her the cards 'we' made. Mine was a lion and his was a frog. I also made mommy a card and a few gifts at daycare. We went to church where the kids performed a musical. I liked all of the music and was dancing in the cry room. After church we headed to see Grandma and Grandpa. Uncle Jack was there, as was GG. Grandma brought out a special surprise for me- my own horse! I loved watching the horses race last weekend, so grandma bought me my own. After a lot of careful consideration I decided to name him Fudge. Daddy calls him Sir Fudge. He sure is fun to play with. We had some other family visit too, mostly to see baby Chase, but they all played with me too. Aunt Amy and Alex even brought their dog. I love puppy dogs. We were all tired when we got home- it was a long weekend!

Tonight we gave mommy her special Mother's Day dinner, since we couldn't do it over the weekend- pizza and ice cream! I wish Mother's Day came around more often- it was very good!

Baby Chase is really smiling now and is even starting to 'talk.' He went to the doctor last week and weighed in at 11 1/2 pounds. He's no small guy, but mommy said I weighed 3 more pounds at the same age. He sure has changed a lot since he was born. We call him little froggie, because he always has his legs up like a frog. I can't wait until he is old enough to play with me.

My star of the week pictures are still up at daycare. I was proud to show mommy and daddy when they picked me up, where my pictures were. Here is a picture of the board.
Have a good week everybody!

Go Crew!

I had a very fun weekend! On Saturday grandma and grandpa came over to visit. I watched the Kentucky Derby with them and loved watching the horses race. I started to get a little worried when mommy put my car seat in grandpa's car, but I found out mommy and grandpa were taking me to the Crew game. Grandma stayed home with Chase and Riley and off we went. I took a little nap on the way there, so I was all rested up for the game. When we got there, we saw daddy and a great big blown up soccer ball. When we went into the stadium I saw Mackenzie and her parents. I was very into the game during the first half, watching the ball everywhere it went and got really excited when it came towards me. I didn't think the night could get any better until grandpa came back from the concession stand with popcorn! I love popcorn and ate the whole tub myself, minus a few kernels I gave Mackenzie. I even wanted more when the 'popcorn guy' walked by, but no one would follow him for me. Daddy got to come sit with us for the second half. I had fun clapping and stomping with him during the game. Because I was so good, mommy let me stay for the whole game and we watched the Crew win. I even said 'bye-bye' as the other team was walking off the field. When we got home, I still had energy and mommy let me stay up a little longer and play with grandma and grandpa before bed.

Despite going to bed late, I got up bright and early on Sunday morning. After breakfast, Chase and I each got baths, then I helped mommy and daddy clean out their closet. Well, most of the time I watched cartoons, but I did help mommy by taking all of her shoes out of the closet. I worked up and appetite and ate a big lunch. After lunch, I took a long nap to make up for the lack of sleep the night before. When I woke up, mommy and daddy surprised me by taking us to the zoo. It was really busy and there were a lot of people there. I got to see a lot of monkeys, lizards, a snake, a tiger, a bear, ducks and elephants. Right before we left, I saw one of my favorite animals- the lions! I got to see the daddy and the mommy lion. The daddy lion was laying down, so I showed him how to roar. The mommy lion was walking around everywhere and came right up to the fence beside us. I had a good time, but I think Chase was a little bored- he slept the whole time we were there.

When I went to daycare this morning I had to take in pictures of my family and things I like to do, because I am the star of the week. I took in pictures of my two best friends- Chase and Riley. Mommy said I've been really good at sharing lately. I've been sharing my sippy cup, cereal and books with Chase, although it seems that mommy comes over to help him a lot. Maybe when he's bigger he'll be able to do it on his own.

Have a good week!
