Pumpkins, Turkey and Santa

I've been a little slow on my updating, but what an exciting few months it has been!

After my big birthday party I got to paint my own 'punkin.' I loved pumpkins this year! I got to go pick out my very own and decorate just how I liked it. I even went all the way out past Grandma and Grandpa's to visit my cousin Anden and get another pumpkin. On that trip I got a baby green one- it was my favorite! We also got to pick out pumpkins at school and decorate them. Chase even got to make a pumpkin at school. It had crazy hair, just like him. He also made little ghosts out of his footprints. Mommy had all of our Halloween decorations up around the house and I would take random things in to school to show everyone. My favorite Halloween decoration was from GG. She gave me a baby pumpkin that changed colors! It was really neat and I took it with me everywhere. My teachers at school even asked mommy where we got it because they liked it so much. At the end of the month, Chase and I got to dress up in our Halloween outfits and mommy took is in the wagon to go Trick-or-Treating. I just asked for treats and boy did I get a lot! We had fun and I even got to wear my costume to school the next day.

After the pumpkins were put away, out came the turkeys! My new favorite phrase was 'gobble gobble.' Grandma and I made special turkeys when she and grandpa came to stay with us. I also made turkey pictures at school with real feathers! For Thanksgiving we went up to Cleveland and the highlight of my trip was seeing all the deer (reindeer, as I call them) in Papa's back yard. Now, every time I see a reindeer I always talk about Papa's house.

We also went to a children's museum in November. Mommy had a day off from work, so we went to visit Grandma and Uncle Jack and went to the museum. It was a lot of fun- I liked the water and the sand the best.

Chase has grown a lot over the past few months he crawls (army crawls) everywhere. Mommy and daddy call him a little inch worm. Now that he is on the move, I love saying 'Come on Chase' and going off to play. He also likes to stand and 'walk' and 'dance.' He can even pull him self up now, so daddy had to lower his crib. He has to go to the doctor today because it's his 9mo birthday. I'll have to post his stats later.

After the big Turkey day- out came the Christmas decorations. I love Santa! Mommy bought me a baby snow globe with Santa inside, it is one of my favorite toys. In reality I love all of the Christmas decor- Santa, reindeer, snowmen... and Christmas songs! I'm pretty good at singing Jingle Bells and am working on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. My other favorite songs are Crew chants daddy taught me because his team won the MLS Cup! He even brought me back thunder sticks that I clap together for the chants.

Last weekend we went to the zoo to see all of the Christmas lights and Santa! I was really excited about Santa, until we got up there and I decided sitting on his lap wasn't for me. Chase sat on his lap and being the nice guy Santa is, he even gave Chase a candy cane to give to me. It was yummy. The zoo also had a big train display. Mommy and daddy didn't think they were ever going to get me out of there. I had so much fun watching the trains and looking for Thomas. Thomas the train seems to be my new favorite, especially after Grandma let me watch a special Thomas video she got from the library. At the end of our zoo trip I got to decorate my own cookie. I was excited to squeeze out the icing, but the best part was eating it!

Mommy said we are going to try and get a Christmas tree this weekend and we may even put up our Christmas lights. Mommy already put a little tree in my room with Buckeye lights. I like to watch it at night when the lights are off. Also, at church on Sunday there is a big birthday party for baby Jesus. Chase and I are going to buy him a present to donate to other little kids. It should be fun. I ask mommy and daddy to tell me a Jesus story some nights, so they've been telling me the story of when he was born. I'm very interested in all of the animals that came to see him. I think that is all for now-

Happy Holidays!
