Christmas Concert

My big Christmas Concert was Saturday, but I was all thrown off by having to go to daycare on the weekend. I choose not to go on stage with the other kids, until the very end and then I didn't want to leave. I still got to enjoy the cookies and punch afterwards. It was fun having mommy, daddy and Chase visit and play with me in my classroom.

After my concert, mommy had to go to work. After lunch and naps, daddy surprised us and took us to the basketball game. We got to see mommy and Brutus. I had fun watching the game and 'coaching' the Buckeyes. I even played catch with daddy's friends and ate popcorn. Chase had fun clapping when the Buckeyes played well.

When we got home, mommy let me make reindeer cookies. I could hardly wait for them to come out of the oven. They sure were good!

Last weekend we picked out a tree and decorated it. I had a lot of fun hanging ornaments. I tried to save some for mommy and daddy to hang up high. I look at the tree every night and talk about the different ornaments. Last night mommy gave us little snow globe ornaments with snowmen inside. They even have our names on them!

I'm really enjoying getting ready for the holidays. I have two advent calendars. One has little doors, with a treat inside each day and the other is one Grandma made and I pull out a new object every day to put on the tree. I even have my own elf, Chester, that watches over me and visits Santa each night. He is always in a different spot each morning and I love trying to find him.

Chase is still army crawling and pulling himself up on everything. He would like to try and walk, but doesn't quite know how to balance himself. Daddy gave him his first haircut on Sunday. It's still wild and crazy, just a little shorter now.

Happy Holidays!
(Happy Birthday Mackenzie- sorry I couldn't come to your party!)

Pumpkins, Turkey and Santa

I've been a little slow on my updating, but what an exciting few months it has been!

After my big birthday party I got to paint my own 'punkin.' I loved pumpkins this year! I got to go pick out my very own and decorate just how I liked it. I even went all the way out past Grandma and Grandpa's to visit my cousin Anden and get another pumpkin. On that trip I got a baby green one- it was my favorite! We also got to pick out pumpkins at school and decorate them. Chase even got to make a pumpkin at school. It had crazy hair, just like him. He also made little ghosts out of his footprints. Mommy had all of our Halloween decorations up around the house and I would take random things in to school to show everyone. My favorite Halloween decoration was from GG. She gave me a baby pumpkin that changed colors! It was really neat and I took it with me everywhere. My teachers at school even asked mommy where we got it because they liked it so much. At the end of the month, Chase and I got to dress up in our Halloween outfits and mommy took is in the wagon to go Trick-or-Treating. I just asked for treats and boy did I get a lot! We had fun and I even got to wear my costume to school the next day.

After the pumpkins were put away, out came the turkeys! My new favorite phrase was 'gobble gobble.' Grandma and I made special turkeys when she and grandpa came to stay with us. I also made turkey pictures at school with real feathers! For Thanksgiving we went up to Cleveland and the highlight of my trip was seeing all the deer (reindeer, as I call them) in Papa's back yard. Now, every time I see a reindeer I always talk about Papa's house.

We also went to a children's museum in November. Mommy had a day off from work, so we went to visit Grandma and Uncle Jack and went to the museum. It was a lot of fun- I liked the water and the sand the best.

Chase has grown a lot over the past few months he crawls (army crawls) everywhere. Mommy and daddy call him a little inch worm. Now that he is on the move, I love saying 'Come on Chase' and going off to play. He also likes to stand and 'walk' and 'dance.' He can even pull him self up now, so daddy had to lower his crib. He has to go to the doctor today because it's his 9mo birthday. I'll have to post his stats later.

After the big Turkey day- out came the Christmas decorations. I love Santa! Mommy bought me a baby snow globe with Santa inside, it is one of my favorite toys. In reality I love all of the Christmas decor- Santa, reindeer, snowmen... and Christmas songs! I'm pretty good at singing Jingle Bells and am working on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. My other favorite songs are Crew chants daddy taught me because his team won the MLS Cup! He even brought me back thunder sticks that I clap together for the chants.

Last weekend we went to the zoo to see all of the Christmas lights and Santa! I was really excited about Santa, until we got up there and I decided sitting on his lap wasn't for me. Chase sat on his lap and being the nice guy Santa is, he even gave Chase a candy cane to give to me. It was yummy. The zoo also had a big train display. Mommy and daddy didn't think they were ever going to get me out of there. I had so much fun watching the trains and looking for Thomas. Thomas the train seems to be my new favorite, especially after Grandma let me watch a special Thomas video she got from the library. At the end of our zoo trip I got to decorate my own cookie. I was excited to squeeze out the icing, but the best part was eating it!

Mommy said we are going to try and get a Christmas tree this weekend and we may even put up our Christmas lights. Mommy already put a little tree in my room with Buckeye lights. I like to watch it at night when the lights are off. Also, at church on Sunday there is a big birthday party for baby Jesus. Chase and I are going to buy him a present to donate to other little kids. It should be fun. I ask mommy and daddy to tell me a Jesus story some nights, so they've been telling me the story of when he was born. I'm very interested in all of the animals that came to see him. I think that is all for now-

Happy Holidays!

Happy, Happy Mase

I'm Two!!!! What a fun birthday weekend I had. When I woke up on my birthday, daddy sang the Happy Birthday song to me. Then I went downstairs to find all my Sesame Street friends waiting to party. I had fun opening presents and eating my Elmo cake! So far, my favortie gift has been the choo choo train. It's a remote control train and I like to say 'All aboard'

After my party Papa and Grandma spent the night at our house and I got to play with them all day on Sunday. I even got Grandma to go down the slide! I've also been singing the Happy Birthday song to everyone.

Thanks everybody for making my birthday so special!

Weekend Adventures

Chase and I have been rounding out the summer with lots of weekend adventures. Mommy and daddy have been keeping us busy doing lots of fun things. In the past few weeks we celebrated Grandpa's birthday (who I now call Grandpa Mooch) and I even got a few early birthday presents of my own. Chase is half way to his first birthday. He went to the doctor yesterday and was 18.5 lbs. Mommy said I was 19 lbs at the same age, so he's almost as big as I am! He's going to be getting a new car seat soon, b/c he's almost too big for the infant one. Enjoy the pictures and a few videos from our adventures.

Young's-

For Grandpa's birthday we went to Young's Jersey Dairy. I liked checking out all the animals with uncle Jack. Chase and I drove a tractor, and Grandpa even shared his ice cream with me! I also took a train ride with mommy.

Bike-

Grandma Bonk and Papa Chicken came to visit a few weeks ago with a big surprise- a new bike! They gave me a blue bike for my birthday. I'm glad I didn't have to wait until my real birthday to open it. I could hardly wait for daddy and papa to put it together. I love riding up and down the sidewalk and I tell everyone at school about my 'blue bike.' I've even taken Chase for a few rides.

Brutus-

At mommy's work there are a bunch of cool Brutus statues. Mommy took Chase and I there to see them. My favorite was the yellow 'butter' Brutus. I liked them so much, I wanted to see each one 4 times. I was disappointed the other day at daddy's work, because Brutus wasn't there.

Trains-

I've really been into trains lately. A few weeks ago mommy and daddy heard about a train festival nearby, so we all went. I got to go inside real train cars, watch little trains and I even went for a train ride- twice!

Fort Rapids-

After the train festival, I went home to eat lunch and take a nap. When I woke up from my nap, daddy said we were going swimming. Daddy's work had a big party at Fort Rapids- an indoor water park. They had a swimming area just for kids my size. I loved flopping in the water, swimming and going down the water slides. Chase even swam and had fun in the pool swing. When it was time to go home I didn't want to leave. Daddy said we could go back again sometime- I sure hope we do!

First Tooth-

Chase has been doing good with his cereal and is getting ready to start baby food. We bought an extra chair so he can sit at the table with me. I love to talk and sing to him while we are eating. His first tooth just came in, so watch your fingers!

Cars and Horses-

I helped daddy wash his car the other day. He said he is going to have the cleanest door in all of Columbus. I had fun playing in the water. When we were done, we all went to the horse races where we met Grandma and Grandpa. I loved watching the horses so close. I even picked a few winners! Mommy said she was taking me to Vegas.............. Before we left Grandma gave me some plastic horses. I sure like to play with them and make them gallop over everything.

Slide-

Mommy and daddy took us to the toy store last weekend. I thought we were just getting a helmet for me to wear with my new bike, but I also got a birthday present- a new slide! It also has a basketball hoop on it. I really like it and Chase laughs when I say 'Weeee' as I slide down.

I hope everyone is having a good week. Enjoy the videos below & Go Bucks!

Summer Fun

Well, it's been almost a month since I last updated. We've been having a lot of fun this summer! Baby Chase is really growing- he can roll over now and has started eating cereal. We 'talk' a lot to each other. Mommy says we have our own language. I really love my brother and like to give him hugs and kisses. Here is what we've been up to over the last few weeks:

The Fair-

Mommy and daddy took us to the Franklin County Fair. I really liked all the animals, especially the sheep and the horses. Mommy said the fair was tiny and nothing like the good ol' Clark County Fair. She said maybe she'd take us to that fair next year- daddy was thrilled!

Splash Park-

With all the hot weather, we've been frequent visitors to the splash park. It takes me a while to warm up, but once I get going I never want to leave. We hosted a play date there with my neighborhood friends. Baby Chase has even joined in on the fun.

Roly Poly-

Now that Chase has learned to roll over, he likes to sleep on his side and play on his belly. I like to get on my belly to play with him. Riley likes it too, as it gives her perfect access for kisses!

Big Eater-

Chase started eating cereal a few weeks ago. As you can see he is definitely getting bigger! Mommy calls him Little Chunk II. Now that he is getting bigger, he has been able to get baths with me in the big tub. We have fun splashing around and playing with our bath toys. I've also been playing with him a lot more and sharing my toys.

Visitors and Vacation-

Daddy's cousin Todd, Jaime and Ella came over to visit along with cousin Meg, Uncle Neal and Aunt Joan. Ella lives in Texas and I hadn't seen her since Christmas 2006. I wasn't too sure about all of the visitors, but I started to warm up to everyone at the end when they were getting ready to leave. That same week mommy and daddy took a trip and left us with grandma, who I now call Me ma. Grandpa took Riley to his house to play with Aunt Raven. I wasn't too happy with mommy and daddy when they first came home, but I warmed up quickly, especially after they showed me the new hat they bought me!

Riley-

We found out Riley has more ouchies. She had surgery last week and now has to wear a cone until her incision heals. I've been petting her with my 'nice' hands hoping she feels better soon. One of my new favorite activities is going outside with daddy and pointing out to him where the yard needs to be picked up. It seems to be a daily activity, but I don't mind.

Have a good weekend everyone!
