Chunk & the Chicken

I had a lot of visitors over the weekend. Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Jack were here, as well as Papa Chicken and Grandma Bonk. They were talking about daddy's birthday, but I sure did get a lot of attention and got to take my naps in Grandma's lap. Grandma Bonk and Papa Chicken brought me a Valentine gift- a chicken! A stuffed one that is- I love it. Whenever mommy and daddy bring it out I smile. Riley likes it too, but mommy and daddy won't let her play with it.
I moved into my own room the other night. Mommy and daddy were sad. I don't know what they were sad about- I have so much more room. I haven't missed a beat and am sleeping just as well as I was in my cradle. Mommy painted a bookshelf for me, so now I have all my books out for us to read.
Mommy has been really sick, so I haven't really seen her in two days- although I did catch her peeking in my crib last night. I missed my date with Mackenzie last night because mommy had to cancel her face painting again. Hopefully I'll get to see her soon. Daddy is taking me to the doctor tonight. I have to get my four month shots. I hope they don't hurt too much. Mommy and daddy have been talking about the doctor starting me on cereal. I don't really know what that is, but I love putting everything in my mouth these days, so hopefully it will taste good.
Until next time......

Chunk-a-Chunk-a-Burning Love

It's Valentine's Day and we're stuck in the house all day because of that snow stuff. I was really looking forward to my date last night with Mackenzie, but the weather was really bad. I'm not sure where we were going, but Daddy and Uncle Brian (our Chaperones) seemed heartbroken when the date had to be cancelled. Mommy and Aunt Cheryl were supposed to go get their faces painted. That was cancelled too. Daddy and Uncle Brian kept mentioning a place called Kahoots. The Mommies didn't seem to approve of their date location. Anyways, I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go. I'll miss you today Baby Mac!

It was a big week for me - according to Mommy and Daddy. Here's what I did (not necessarily in order):

1. Laughed out loud (a bit of a chuckle)
2. Rolled over (the world was flipped upside-down)
3. Learned how to pull my bink out of my mouth and put it back in

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Visiting Chunk

I was a world traveler this weekend. Well, at least a state traveler. Saturday morning mommy and daddy loaded me up and off to Cleveland we went. The trip wasn't too bad, but then again I slept the whole time. I got to play with Papa and Grandma and see a bunch of my relatives. My big cousin Austin held me and even fed me a bottle. My cousin Paige tried to teach me how to roll over, but I still haven't mastered it yet. I'm very close, but can't get everything to roll in the same direction at the same time.

The next morning I got to experience my first 'Fun Cake.' Papa is famous for these and made one in the shape of an 'M' just for me. After breakfast Papa and I played with all the toys in the basement. I got pretty tired, so I took a nap with Grandma. We then loaded up and headed back home. Riley was very excited to see us. After another short nap, Grandma and Grandpa came over to visit and watch the Super Bowl. Mommy and daddy were cheering for different teams as usual. I was more into hanging out with my grandparents, but I did like the commercials. I was hoping to stay up past my bedtime, but when the clock struck 9, mommy and daddy made me go to sleep even though the game wasn't over. I showed them, as I woke up at 4 am and stayed awake all morning. I got to take a nap at daycare, but mommy and daddy looked pretty tired last night.

I get to see Mackenzie this weekend. I'm so excited! I've been working on a special Valentine just for her....

'Chunkouflage'

Here I am ready to hunt wabbits, as my grandpa would say. Mommy took me to daycare today and of course before we left she had to take my picture. This is one of my favorite outfits. My Uncle Ryan and family gave it to me for Christmas and mommy and daddy have been waiting until I could fit in it. I think they waited a little too long as it is almost too small now. I keep trying to tell them I am growing everyday.

My Uncle Jack came over to visit me last night. We were relaxing watching the Buckeyes beat Purdue- just hanging out like a couple of guys. I made a nice present for him, but he hasn't made it over the diaper changing hurdle yet. Luckily he took me back and let me sit on his lap even after I spit up on him a little.

After the game I played on my blanket. I am getting good at tummy time and lifting my head up. If you look closely you'll see I can't raise my head without raising my feet. Everyone seemed to think this was pretty funny- I didn't really see the humor...

I am traveling to Cleveland this weekend to see Grandma and Papa. Great Grandpa B is have some surgery next week, so we wanted to visit and tell him good luck. A lot of relatives are coming over to Grandmas to see us. They say it's for my Daddy's birthday, but mommy and daddy say no one used to make a big fuss when it was just them visiting. Unfortunately, Riley can't go with us, but Uncle Jack is going to stay and play with her. I keep hearing that she is going to daycare tomorrow, but I've never seen any other dogs there.....maybe it's show and tell day?
I hope everyone has a good weekend and I will be back in touch when we return.
