Monkey See Monkey Do

Chase has been mimicking everything I do, including potty training- well sort of. This is his new favorite activity:

We had a family basketball game last night and Chase was really excited!
Chase and I have also been having fun catching butterflies!

Pony Rides!

Daddy had to work his last Crew game on Saturday, so mommy loaded Chase and I up and we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. We were planning on having a picnic, but it was raining, so we just ate at their house. After we were done eating lunch, it stopped raining, so we got in the car and headed to Carriage Hill Farm. Grandpa had a big surprise for us- pony rides!

I wasn't too sure about it at first, but mommy said if I got on the pony I would look like a cowboy. That's all it took and I jumped right on. Mira, the pony, was really nice and she took me for a long walk around her ring. When it was time for me to get off, I handed my helmet over to Chase who jumped right on Mira and started saying 'Giddie Up' He had a lot of fun too. He didn't like hanging on too well, so mommy had to do the work for him. After the pony rides we got to see all of the other horses in the barn. We even saw their brand new horse Jesse.

After the pony rides, we all got back into the car and went across the street to the main farm. We saw chickens, sheep, more horses, a pig and cows. We even found a kitty cat that let us play with him.

After we saw all of the animals and Chase tried to climb in with the horses, we went to the little country store, where mommy let me get some candy. I picked out my favorite gummy fish and 2 pixie sticks to share with Grandpa. I also picked out some Tootsie Rolls for GG to give to her for her birthday.

On the way home from the farm we stopped at GG's to give her the Tootsie Rolls and her birthday present. She brought out her toys and I had fun playing with the cars and sitting at her little desk. Chase had fun rearranging the cat food.

Back at Grandma and Grandpa's the sun came out, so we played outside. Grandma even ordered pizza that we got to eat outside. While we were outside we found a frog (toad). Grandpa picked it up and I even got to hold it. It eventually jumped away and went under the bush. I guess he was trying to find his family.

Before we left Grandpa took us back to the field. Chase and I had fun running around and picking flowers for everyone. It must have worn us out because mommy said I was asleep before we hit the highway and Chase was shortly after.

When I woke up Sunday I told daddy all about the pony ride and frog. Later in the day, when I woke up from my nap, Grandma and Papa were there. They came to visit and help with the new patio. Mommy and daddy went shopping while we stayed with Grandma and Papa to play. When they got back we went outside to plant the new flowers they brought home and move the rest of the dirt and mulch. I took my shovel and wheelbarrow and helped as much as I could. Everyone said I was a big helper. Of course playing in mulch and dirt I got really dirty, so Grandma and Papa took us in for a bath. After our baths they had to go back home.

I think the patio has turned out really nice and now that our toys are back out there, we can't wait to go play.

I can't seem to get my pony ride video to load- I think it may be too long, but I'll keep trying, so check back.....

Congratulations Daddy!

Daddy took a new job this week. To surprise him, we made him a card and bought him a Brutus tie. I modeled it for him. Chase and I gave him big hugs and high fives.

Congratulations Daddy!

Happy Birthday!

We had a Birthday filled trip to Cleveland a few weeks ago.

Our first stop was at Uncle Danny's. Mikayla turned 1 and we stop by to say 'Happy Birthday' and give her a gift. She had a princess themed party and we even got our own crowns. I put mine on and said 'Look, I'm a princess.' Daddy quickly corrected me and said I was a prince :)

After Mikayla's house we went to Grandma and Papa's. They took us to a 'farm' where we got to see some animals. I was disappointed I couldn't see the cow and the horse, but they were already inside for the night.
After the farm we went over to Great Grandma and Grandpa's. It was Great Grandpa's birthday and we stopped to say 'Happy Birthday.' Chase and I had fun spinning in their chair.

After visiting with Great Grandma and Grandpa, we went back to Grandma and Papa's. Aunt Liza, Austin and Paige came over to play and eat dinner with us. We had fun playing outside, I even used the binoculars to try and find deer.

Later that night when mommy was putting Chase to bed, I played video games with daddy and Papa. I even caught a fish! Grandma caught a fish too! It was fun!

The next morning, Papa made us pancakes and we got to play outside. I had fun just running around the backyard. After our naps we went over to Uncle Ryan and Aunt Liza's for Paige's birthday party. They had a big inflatable bounce house. Chase and I had a lot of fun jumping in there. We also had fun in the tree house and going down the slide. Just when I thought the party couldn't get any better, they had an ice cream bar! Chase and I both ate a whole bowl!

Happy 4th of July!

What a fun weekend we had!

On Friday, mommy told us we didn't have to school because she was off. Then she told us that Grandma, Grandpa and Uncle Jack we all coming over and we were going to the zoo! Chase and I had fun at the zoo, especially watching the gorillas and the tiger. My favorite gibbon monkeys were out, but they weren't talking. It was a special zoo trip b/c we got to ride the train, carousel and the boat! The boat ride was at the end and Chase was getting a little tired while waiting.

Chase and I both took naps on the way home and when we woke up daddy was home! We had a cook out and celebrated Grandma's birthday. I had fun singing, blowing out the candles and watching her open presents.

Saturday morning we got up and daddy said we were going to a parade. I was excited to see all the people and wave my flag! Of course I LOVED the candy. My new favorite candy is pixy stix! Chase didn't want to sit still for the whole parade, so mommy and daddy had to take him for a few walks. My favorite part of the parade was the pig. I also liked Mickey Mouse and the Chick-fil-A cows, but I was a little scared of them.

After the parade daddy had to go to work. Chase and I took naps and after we woke up, we went to a party down the street. All of the neighborhood kids were there and I had fun playing with water balloons and riding bikes. We had to leave the party so Chase could go to bed, but mommy let me stay up late. We had a special popcorn treat and then mommy took me outside to watch fireworks! I had a blast! My favorite were the blue ones- the big blue ones! After they were over daddy came home, so I got to say good night to him before going to bed.

Sunday morning we had some errands to run. Chase and I were 'good' so we got to pick out a $1 toy from Target. I picked out a bouncy soccer ball and Chase picked some squirty 'Alrgators.' After our naps, Chase and I helped daddy start to take apart the deck. It was really hot out, so mommy took Chase inside. I stayed cool by drinking all of daddy's water. Daddy took some breaks and played soccer ball with me. It's my new favorite game. After dinner, I helped mommy water the flowers. I'm not sure the flowers got any water, but mommy, Chase and I did!

No more surprises today- back to school. Happy Monday and enjoy the videos!
