Happy Birthday Cousin Meggy!

Saturday was Cousin Meggy's birthday. Daddy had to work on Saturday, so we had her over yesterday for lunch. Mommy and I put up some very festive decorations and we made brownies! Cousin Meggy brought fruit and 'ispie bars' (Rice Krispie Treats). I think Chase and I ate all of the fruit and most of the ispie bars. After giving her the 'move it, move it' card we bought her, we sang 'Happy Birthday!' Even though it was her birthday Meggy brought a present for us to play with - bubbles!

While we were outside I played baseball with daddy. I hit the ball a bunch of times- it was fun! After playing baseball we went inside to watch a soccer game. The US almost won, but couldn't hang on. Win or lose, I had fun singing the USA cheer! It inspired me to go out and play 'soccer ball.'

Yesterday was also a big day b/c I got to wear big boy underwears and was dry all day! I was very upset not to be able to wear underwears to bed last night.

Vacation & Father's Day

Chase and I are home sick today, so I figured I'd take the time to update the blog. We both have fevers and are congested, so mommy and daddy hope we just have colds.

Last week we went on our first family vacation! We went to Indianapolis. While we were there we went to the zoo. We had lots of fun. We got to touch a shark; see polar bears, seals and a walrus; and we got to watch a dolphin show! The dolphin show was really cool. They jumped really high out of the water and made big splashes! While we were there we also got to see an elephant go in the water and take a bath! I thought this was exceptionally exciting!

After we saw all of the animals, daddy bought us a souvenir. I got a tiger and Chase got an elephant. They are foam animals on a wire that makes it look like you are taking them for a walk. Chase and I had fun playing with them in the back of the car.

Once we got to our hotel we ordered pizza for dinner and then we hit the water park. I was a little hesitant at first, but I warmed up to all of the splashing water pretty quick. By the end I was even standing under the big dumping water bucket. The water park had lots of stuff for us to do. There was a sprinkler crab, water shooters coming from the ground, dumping buckets, slides, basketball, a lazy river and even some big slides that we liked to watch daddy go down.

Chase and I liked the hotel room. We each had our own crib and went to sleep fairly easily. Mommy and daddy were super excited that we slept in until almost 8:30! When we woke up it was a special day as we got to pick out little box cereals and watch cartoons. After playing in the hotel for a little bit, we went back to the water park. My favorite part of the water park was the water!

After the water park daddy said we could go to Old McDonald's! I got my usual chicken nuggets, apples and milk. Mommy shared some of her fries with us and daddy even bought a milkshake to share. We also got a dinosaur toy in our Happy Meal.

After McDonald's we went to the Children's Museum. They had a big train exhibit, which I really liked until the train whistle blew and scared me. After the trains we saw a bunch of dinosaurs! I liked the dinosaurs, but not the scary dinosaur sounds they were playing in the background. We got to dig for dinosaur bones and I even got to touch a real one! We played with blocks, water and bunch of fun stuff at the museum. As you can see, we were pretty tired at the end of it all.

Sunday was Father's Day and Chase and I had fun giving daddy our presents. After church we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. I picked a BIG chocolate chip cookie to take with us. When we got there GG was there and Uncle Jack came too.

Grandpa had the pool out and ready for us after lunch and he even hooked up the sprinkler. We also got to swing, play in the tree house, play chalk, see Grandma's garden and pick and eat raspberries! Grandma even gave us some raspberries to take home. Mommy and I have almost eaten them all!

Well, I'd better get back to relaxing and hopefully we'll be feeling better soon.

Happy Birthday Riley!

Today is Riley's 5th birthday! We sang Happy Birthday to her and gave her a breakfast donut. We bought her a birthday frisbee, but Chase really liked the frisbee, so she hasn't had the chance to play with it much.

Last weekend we went to Grandma and Grandpa's for a cook out because Uncle Seth was home for a visit. Most of mommy's family was there with lots of other little kids to play with. GG brought special chairs just for us and we compared our head ochies. Uncle Jack helped Chase ride Mya's pink bike. I had fun riding my bike up and down the sidewalk, Uncle Jack did too! Grandma had a special surprise for all of us after dinner- bubbles! I love bubbles! I went through 3 bottles..... After playing a little more Grandpa had an even bigger surprise for us- homemade ice cream! Mommy even let me have some chocolate sauce- it was yummy!! At the end of the night we loaded back in the car with our Pj's on and Chase and I both fell asleep on the way home.

The next day after our naps, daddy got the sprinkler out. It was Chase's first sprinkler experience. We had fun running through the water and getting wet.

After drying off and eating dinner we walked to the park. Chase and I had fun in tunnels and going down the slides.

This weekend we went to Cleveland. Daddy hooked up the DVD players so we got to watch movies on our way up. Our first stop was Austin's soccer game. I had fun playing soccer with Uncle Ryan, Paige and Papa, and Paige and I had fun playing on the playground. Austin's team won and he even scored a goal! After his game we all got to go to Dairy Queen for ice cream.

Our next stop was to see Uncle Danny and his family. I slept the whole time, so for me, the next stop was Grandma and Papa's. Uncle Ryan, Aunt Liza, Austin, Paige, Aunt Dar and Great Grandpa O were all there. We celebrated Grandpa O's 90th birthday and Father's Day for him and Papa. We bought Papa a singing card and we had fun dancing to it.

Grandma had special Diego bubbles for me and Great Grandpa even joined in on the fun. I had fun playing with my cousins and we even spotted a baby deer. Chase and I had a lot of fun in the play house.

Paige joined us for a musical number before we left. Chase slept on the way home- there was no way I was sleeping and missing my chance to watch movies!

Chase went to the doctor last week for his 15 month check up. Unfortunately he had to get two shots, but I told him it was ok and gave him a kiss. Because he was so brave and I was such a good brother, mommy took us to Old McDonalds for dinner. Chase weighed 25 pounds and was 31 inches tall. Mommy said at the same age I was 26 pounds and 32 inches, so I guess we'll be about the same size. Check out Chase and the love for his belly.

I've been working really hard on potty training. It's going pretty good, in fact I was dry all day at school yesterday! Next week we are going on vacation and I can't wait to get to the water park!
