Mother's Day, Stitches & Memorial Day

It's been a busy few weeks. Daddy has had to work a lot, but mommy has kept us busy!

Mother's Day weekend started off with daddy buying us ice cream from the ice cream truck Friday night! Mommy got home just in time to share a bite.

On Saturday we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa to tell Grandma and GG 'Happy Mother's Day.' We got to play outside with Raven, swing, take a wagon ride and I even got to take a tractor ride with Grandpa.

On Sunday we made mommy French Toast for breakfast and she got to eat her breakfast in bed. Chase and I each made her a card and she got to open her presents. After breakfast we all went for a walk and went to the park. Daddy had to go back to work, but after our naps, mommy took us to Crew Stadium for the soccer festival. Chase had fun playing soccer with daddy and his friends. I had my face painted like a puppy dog. I thought it was really neat! I also got a balloon that looked like a monkey. After the festival, we took mommy out for ice cream. Chase and I both gobbled it down- it was yummy!

The following weekend Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Brian, Mackenzie and Beckham came to visit. Chase and mommy went to the zoo with Aunt Cheryl, Mackenzie and Beckham on Friday. Since I just started my new Honey Bears class, I went to school. On Saturday, Mackenzie came to my house to play while her mommy, daddy and brother went to a wedding. We had fun playing play doh, painting, watching Dora, reading books and dancing. Mackenzie really liked to play the drums- mommy told Uncle Brian she would have to buy her a set! I had a lot of fun and kept asking about her the next day. Hopefully I get to see them all again soon.

The next day, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit. We all played in the back yard and they even stayed for dinner and bath time. After my bath, I was showing off my dance moves when I slipped and fell. I hit my head on the book case and mommy had to take me to the ER. Grandpa drove us and mommy called daddy at work so he could meet us there. I was very brave and did really well with the doctors and getting my stitches. I still have some of my stitches, but they are starting to dissolve. I've been pretty good about leaving it alone.

This past weekend I went to my neighbors birthday party. After my nap, I helped mommy clean the house and then cousin Meggy came over to watch us while mommy and daddy went to a wedding. I kept asking on Sunday if she was coming back, because I wanted to play some more. Mommy and I went out to the store Sunday morning and I got a super cool Diego backpack. Mommy said I got it because I was doing so well in my new big boy room at school. I loved carrying it and rolling it around. Chase loved it too, which wasn't such a good thing as I didn't want to share. Mommy said maybe she should have gotten two. After our naps on Sunday Grandma and Papa came. We got to play with them a lot and they even took us out for ice cream after dinner! After we got home from getting ice cream, Chase had to go to bed, but mommy said I could stay up a little later and sit out at the fire pit with everyone. I had fun singing songs to everyone.

Grandma and Papa spent the night with us and before daddy went to work on Monday, he made us pancakes. I got a special McQueen pancake- it was good! Daddy got to come back early in the afternoon and while we were waiting on lunch, Chase and I were having fun playing in the water. I even got Grandma and Papa wet some.

After we ate, Grandma had a surprise for us- puppy cookies! As you can tell by Chase, they had a lot of frosting on them. They were very good! Grandma and Papa had to go back home later in the day and I was sad to see them go. Chase was so worn out, he had to take a second nap! We sure did have lots of fun.
