Sick Day

I had a fever earlier this week, so I got to stay home from school with mommy. We had fun reading books and playing, but then she put me to work! I helped clean windows, rearrange toys, rake the mulch beds and mow the grass! All that work made me tired, but I still found some energy to color and play. I was still a little tired at school yesterday and fell asleep at the lunch table!

Baby Chase started daycare this week. He is in the Baby Bunnies classroom, right down the hall from me. I've been having a lot of fun at school, making art projects, which Mommy says are beautiful, playing outside and looking for birds out the window. In two weeks we get to have 'water days' at school. I can't wait to play in the water in my new Elmo swim trunks.

Mommy said it's supposed to be nice this weekend and I can go swimming! Have a good weekend!

Happy Mother's Day!

Baby Chase and I hope everyone had a happy Mother's Day! We spent a lot of the weekend in the car heading to Cleveland and Medway. It wasn't all bad- I got to watch movies, took a few naps and visited with a bunch of family.

On Saturday morning, we all got ready and then loaded in the car on our way to Cleveland. Mommy and daddy hooked up the dvd player, so I got to watch a movie. We stopped at McDonald's for lunch and I chomped down apples and chicken nuggets. Mommy even gave me a few fries. When we got to Cleveland we went to see my cousin Austin play soccer. His team was green, which just happens to be my favorite color. I had fun watching everyone play soccer and wanted to go get a few of the balls to play myself. The game was good and Austin even scored a goal. After the game we went to Grandma Bonk and Papa Chicken's. Uncle Ryan, Aunt Liza, Austin and Paige also came over, as well as a lot of other family members. A lot of them saw baby Chased for the first time. I had fun playing with my cousins, especially when Aunt Liza got out the markers! My other favorite part of the visit is when Grandma Bonk gave me my own ice cream cup! I put my pjs on before we left and Chase and I slept most of the way home. I think mommy even slept for a few minutes.

Sunday morning we wished mommy 'Happy Mother's Day' and made her french toast for breakfast. Baby Chase and I then gave her the cards 'we' made. Mine was a lion and his was a frog. I also made mommy a card and a few gifts at daycare. We went to church where the kids performed a musical. I liked all of the music and was dancing in the cry room. After church we headed to see Grandma and Grandpa. Uncle Jack was there, as was GG. Grandma brought out a special surprise for me- my own horse! I loved watching the horses race last weekend, so grandma bought me my own. After a lot of careful consideration I decided to name him Fudge. Daddy calls him Sir Fudge. He sure is fun to play with. We had some other family visit too, mostly to see baby Chase, but they all played with me too. Aunt Amy and Alex even brought their dog. I love puppy dogs. We were all tired when we got home- it was a long weekend!

Tonight we gave mommy her special Mother's Day dinner, since we couldn't do it over the weekend- pizza and ice cream! I wish Mother's Day came around more often- it was very good!

Baby Chase is really smiling now and is even starting to 'talk.' He went to the doctor last week and weighed in at 11 1/2 pounds. He's no small guy, but mommy said I weighed 3 more pounds at the same age. He sure has changed a lot since he was born. We call him little froggie, because he always has his legs up like a frog. I can't wait until he is old enough to play with me.

My star of the week pictures are still up at daycare. I was proud to show mommy and daddy when they picked me up, where my pictures were. Here is a picture of the board.
Have a good week everybody!

Go Crew!

I had a very fun weekend! On Saturday grandma and grandpa came over to visit. I watched the Kentucky Derby with them and loved watching the horses race. I started to get a little worried when mommy put my car seat in grandpa's car, but I found out mommy and grandpa were taking me to the Crew game. Grandma stayed home with Chase and Riley and off we went. I took a little nap on the way there, so I was all rested up for the game. When we got there, we saw daddy and a great big blown up soccer ball. When we went into the stadium I saw Mackenzie and her parents. I was very into the game during the first half, watching the ball everywhere it went and got really excited when it came towards me. I didn't think the night could get any better until grandpa came back from the concession stand with popcorn! I love popcorn and ate the whole tub myself, minus a few kernels I gave Mackenzie. I even wanted more when the 'popcorn guy' walked by, but no one would follow him for me. Daddy got to come sit with us for the second half. I had fun clapping and stomping with him during the game. Because I was so good, mommy let me stay for the whole game and we watched the Crew win. I even said 'bye-bye' as the other team was walking off the field. When we got home, I still had energy and mommy let me stay up a little longer and play with grandma and grandpa before bed.

Despite going to bed late, I got up bright and early on Sunday morning. After breakfast, Chase and I each got baths, then I helped mommy and daddy clean out their closet. Well, most of the time I watched cartoons, but I did help mommy by taking all of her shoes out of the closet. I worked up and appetite and ate a big lunch. After lunch, I took a long nap to make up for the lack of sleep the night before. When I woke up, mommy and daddy surprised me by taking us to the zoo. It was really busy and there were a lot of people there. I got to see a lot of monkeys, lizards, a snake, a tiger, a bear, ducks and elephants. Right before we left, I saw one of my favorite animals- the lions! I got to see the daddy and the mommy lion. The daddy lion was laying down, so I showed him how to roar. The mommy lion was walking around everywhere and came right up to the fence beside us. I had a good time, but I think Chase was a little bored- he slept the whole time we were there.

When I went to daycare this morning I had to take in pictures of my family and things I like to do, because I am the star of the week. I took in pictures of my two best friends- Chase and Riley. Mommy said I've been really good at sharing lately. I've been sharing my sippy cup, cereal and books with Chase, although it seems that mommy comes over to help him a lot. Maybe when he's bigger he'll be able to do it on his own.

Have a good week!
