Earth, Water & Fire

I learned about some of the elements this weekend. On Friday Aunt Cheryl, Uncle Brian and Mackenzie came over and we made a fire in the fire pit. I got good at saying 'hot, hot, hot.'

The best part about the night was when mommy made us s'mores! Mommy said I was wearing more than I ate. It was good, but Mackenzie and I also liked to eat the marshmallows straight out of the bag.

On Saturday, mommy took Chase and I to the park to meet up with the neighborhood playgroup. We were the only ones that showed up. The weather was rainy in the morning, but it was sunny when we hit the park. I had fun sliding down the slide and landing in the puddle at the bottom. There was also a pond at the park. We saw two ducks and I learned a new fun game- throwing sticks in the water!

Sunday morning after breakfast, mommy and I went outside to work in the yard. I helped her pull out weeds and dig in the dirt. I even played with some worms! All that work made me hungry and tired. I ate lunch and then took a nap. After my nap, mommy set up a big bin of water with cups and some bath toys on the deck. I had fun splashing and throwing water everywhere.

I made it through my first week as a Little Lion, but it was a little rough. Daddy and mommy are hoping this week is a little easier. Chase will be joining the Baby Bunnies in a few weeks. It will be fun when we both go to daycare together.

Have a good week!

Fun Adventures

Well, we've had a busy few days. Friday was my last day in the Baby Bears class at daycare. I am now moving up to the Little Lions class. Mommy picked me up early and took me and Chase to the zoo. When we got there, Aunt Cheryl and Mackenzie were there too. We saw lots of animals up close including bears, gorillas, elephants and a leopard. I even got to pet and brush a goat! Mackenzie and I were both disappointed that the lions weren't out. They are our favorite animal and we were 'roaring' all day.

On Saturday, I was playing with Chase and he looked at me and smiled! He had kinda smiled at daddy before, but this was his first big, real smile. It was really cool. Later that morning I took my new garden tools outside to help daddy with the yard work.

Sunday, I slept through church and when we got home I got to help mommy and daddy make cookies. It was fun and boy were they good. After playing outside for a while, we got lots of visitors. Cousin Meg, Grandma Bonk, Papa Chicken, Great Grandma and Grandpa B, Great Grandpa O and Aunt Dar all came to visit. I had fun playing with everyone and we all went out to dinner. I loved the fries and ketchup!

Chase and I have both been to the doctor lately, here are our recent stats:

Mason- 28 1/2 lbs, 32 1/4 in

Chase- 9lb 110z, 22 3/4 in (these are from two weeks ago)

Have a good week everybody!

Big News

I have a very important announcement to make....I decided to share my blog with my baby brother! He's too little to do his own blog, so I figured I'd share mine and then it would be something we could do together as we get older. Over the last 6 weeks
I've been getting used to having Chase around. I love my brother very much and can even now say 'Chase' and 'brother.' I love giving him kisses and holding him and yesterday mommy even let me help give him his bottle. We sure are having fun together.

It's finally starting to get nice out and mommy and daddy have been taking us to the park. I had fun climbing up all the slides backwards. We've been taking walks around the neighborhood and I like seeing all of the doggies out and about. I also made a big discovery- the backyard! It is huge and I love just to walk around taking it all in.

Daddy had to work last weekend, so grandma and grandpa came to visit and play with me. I got to color, finger paint and play basketball. I had a lot of fun!

This is a big week for me- I'm moving to the older kids room at daycare. I will now be a Little Lion. The best thing about my new class is video time! Mommy said in a few weeks Chase will start going to daycare too. I hope he likes it as much as I do.

Have a good week and check back for updates on the Olsavsky Boys!
